„The photos at the exhibition have been taken at twilight on a dark winter day. The snowy fields around me seemed to be vast and empty. When
darkness fell on the ground, emptiness filled the darkness with material and
immaterial objects. Then the spotlights were switched on. The dark frames of
material objects were exposed. Then I suddenly recalled a poem, written by
a long-deceased friend. However, by the next morning I had forgotten it.
The material part of the present exhibition Objects in the field consists of
objects and photographs. I consider the gallery space as a spatial part of the
field depicted in the photographs. Being physically determined by its walls,
the gallery space broadens to the areas of the depicted fields in photos
and the other way round: the fields in photos converge at the gallery space.
Everything that is located or happening in the gallery will be arranged in the
center as it is characteristic to reverse perspective, including the objects that
due to their transformational features cannot be any longer given specific,
univocal definitions or functions. Somewhere in the undefined distance there
are the frames of the dark silhouettes balancing on the edge of abstractness
that have become tangible due to the shift.
Current exposition can be viewed as a narrative about a narrative or a narrative inside of a narrative that tells us about dusk, fields, vastness, emptiness,
darkness, material and immaterial objects, spotlights, recollections, forgetting, ephemeralness, yearning for something mysterious, permanent and everlasting ... And yet, the exhibition can be simply viewed as it is according
to its title: objects in the field.“
